The Inside Outside Caliper set consists of two distinct tools. The Outside Caliper features inward-curving legs used to measure the external diameter of cylinders or the thickness of plates. The Inside Caliper features outward-curving legs designed to measure the internal diameter of holes, bores, or the width of slots. By adjusting the legs to fit the workpiece and then measuring the distance between the tips against a steel rule, users can achieve highly accurate dimensional data.
