Inclusion Thermometer

The Inclusion Thermometer (also known as an “Enclosed-Scale” thermometer) is a high-precision glass instrument designed for laboratory and industrial applications where the scale must be protected from aggressive environments. Unlike standard solid-stem thermometers, where the markings are etched on the outside of the glass, the inclusion thermometer features a separate, fine-printed scale (usually on paper or opal glass) that is hermetically sealed within a secondary outer glass sleeve. This “tube-within-a-tube” design ensures that the measurement scale never comes into contact with the fluids being measured. It is the preferred choice for testing corrosive chemicals, oils, and liquids that would typically wear down or stain the markings on a standard thermometer.
