The Thermometer, Maximum & Minimum utilizes a U-shaped glass tube containing two separate scales: one for the maximum temperature and one for the minimum. As the temperature fluctuates, small markers (indices) are pushed by the liquid column. These indices remain at the extreme points, allowing users to record the peak highs and lows of the day or night, even if they aren’t present to witness them.
